Yes. PRO runs on HIPAA-eligible infrastructure with a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA), and the generally-available AI models PRO uses are covered by that BAA — unlike preview-class models, which BAAs exclude. HIPAA does not require your data to be stored in the United States; it requires appropriate safeguards and a BAA, and PRO provides both, alongside a zero-retention design: temporary uploads auto-delete within 24 hours and your notes live only in your own Google Drive. As with any vendor, "HIPAA-eligible" describes the infrastructure and agreements — your practice remains responsible for its own HIPAA policies and procedures.
PRO is built with MENA practice in mind. It understands consultations the way they actually happen in the region — Arabic dialects mixed with English medical terms — and turns them into clean, structured notes. On privacy, the zero-retention design is the answer that travels: your clinical audio and documents are never stored on our servers (temporary uploads auto-delete within 24 hours, and notes live only in your own Google Drive), and all processing runs on EU infrastructure under one of the world's strictest privacy regimes. Logging in: yes. Generating notes with a standard subscription: no. One account signs into both clinic.ai4docs.ai and pro.ai4docs.ai — but each subscription generates notes only on the product it was purchased for. A standard plan (Starter/Practice/Professional/Advanced) does not generate notes on PRO, and a PRO plan does not generate notes on the standard app. To generate on PRO you need a PRO plan (or an active free trial, which works on both).
So why can you log in at all? Two reasons: your free trial works on either product, and your My Patient Records (see below) are always available to you on both — reading, searching, and printing your records is never locked.
Switching is two steps: subscribe to a PRO plan on pro.ai4docs.ai (it works immediately), then cancel your standard plan from the app settings (it keeps working on clinic.ai4docs.ai until the end of the billing period you already paid for).
Credits, precisely: monthly credits from your standard plan do not transfer to PRO — they belong to that plan and remain usable on clinic.ai4docs.ai until it ends. Your PRO monthly credits arrive with the PRO subscription. Never-expire credit packs stay on your account and survive cancellation — and they are product-specific: PRO packs ($14/40 · $35/100 · $70/200) spend on pro.ai4docs.ai, standard packs on clinic.ai4docs.ai. Each product sells its own packs, and its checkout points you to the right one.
Nothing — they're yours forever. Every AI4Docs account, on both products, includes My Patient Records: a free mini-EMR stored in your own Google Drive. It stays fully accessible whether you're on a trial, subscribed, or not subscribed at all — the kind of tool that costs $20+/month as a standalone product, included free.
Without credits you can't generate new AI notes — but on your existing records you can still: open, search, and load any note · edit it manually · update it by voice (Voice Update is always free) · extract and print prescriptions and orders · print, share, and export. Subscribe again any day and new-note generation resumes on the same records.

Usually yes: a standard note = 1 credit. Exceptions: a note whose audio runs past 30 minutes = 2 credits (up to 60 minutes); the AI 2nd Opinion = 1 credit without audio, 2 with audio, 3 if the audio exceeds 30 minutes; the Patient Explainer = 1 credit (2 if the audio exceeds 30 minutes). Everything around the note — editing, voice updates, Q&A, prescription & orders extraction, printing, sharing, saving — is free.
